Beauty Experiment: Putting Lip Products in the Freezer?

It's Summer! Yay!

But, with summer, comes the heat... With the heat, comes sweat... uh-oh.

I have heard of this little trick in a magazine a LONG time ago, but always seemed to have it lingering in my mind. So, since it the temperature is rising, I figured, why not give it a try? It's not really going to do any harm.

I picked two of my favorite lip balms (risky!) My EOS Lip Balm in Pomegranate Raspberry and my Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch.

I then put them in the freezer. I ended up keeping them in the freezer for about eight hours. :]

This is what the lip balms looked like after eight hours in the freezer.

When they came out, the lip balms were nice and cold! I also noticed the lip balms looked a little more "matte." (Does that make sense?)

Final Thoughts:

I think this is a great trick! It felt really refreshing hydrating when I put it on, especially the EOS lip balm. The Baby Lips wasn't as cold as I thought it was. I was a little disappointed find that the lip balms didn't stay cold for very long. I would recommend putting them in overnight to maybe keep them a little bit cooler. Otherwise, this Beauty Experiment is a success!  A+

Will you be giving this trick a try? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Actually i tried it accidentally. Here's my story. My lip balm was kinda mushed so yesterday i decided to put it in the freezer only for a few minutes. My intention was only for a few minutes, i live in a dormitory because i am a college student, so technically all of us dormers use that freezer. After some time i forgot that i left my lip balm in the freezer. The next day passed and i thought i lost my lip balm. I was freaking out then only this time i remembered that i left it in the freezer so i texted my roommate to get it for me. Luckily, it was still there. So right now, i am looking in Google to see if that's okay. Because technically, i left it for over 24 hours. Thank you
